Should Food Be Banned on the Subway?

Currently, some cities are considering a food ban on subways, which has sparked heated discussion. Some people say food should be banned because of the trash and rats they attract. And, garbage from discarded food can cause track fires. Beyond sanitary and mechanical concerns, food can also cause fights, as was discovered last week by one passenger who criticized a woman eating steamed stuffed bun on the subway.

However, some others are opposed to the idea. They argue that people like eating in the train in the morning because they don't have enough time to eat at their houses or restaurants. Sometimes that may be the only time or meal a transit rider may be able to eat especially when traveling long distances. Personally, I'm against the ban because of the huge inconvenience it would cause to commuters, and the expense involved in enforcing it. Still, I believe we should have a little common courtesy. I think we all have responsibility to try to treat our subway system and fellow riders with respect, and that extends to food as well.

作文评分标准

满分15分。分五等:2分、5分、8分、11分及14分。

写作方法（以四级出现最多的提纲式（三段式）作文，议论文为主）

（一）抛开句子的构成、段落的展开、各类文体作文的写作技巧等理论不说，单就实用的原则来看，写四级作文应注意的主要方面有五:1.切题2.干净3.减少错误4.开门见山5.闪光点。

1.切题。作文不跑题，似乎是老生常谈，但并非像想象的那般轻而易举。 例如:Benefits of Sports（运动的好处）。有些考生在列举了一系列运动的优点之后，又写道:“运动固然好处很多，但也应避免运动的过量，否则，过量的运动还是有害的。它可以使人过度疲劳，损害心肌，拉伤大腿，等等。”殊不知，这样写着写着，已跑题了。本文要求你写运动的“好处”，至于其“副作用”或“坏处”，根本不应在文章的讨论范围之内。

又如:有的考生写“How university graduates find work”一文，竟写成了自己喜欢什么样的工作。这样一来，你词汇量再大，语法知识再好，也只能是“南辕北辙”了。假如把文章的重点放在“如何”一词上，就算抓住了要害。比如如何去面试，如何写自我简介，如何进行自我包装和推销，等等。

2.干净。作文是人改的，人是有情感的。自然喜欢干净讨厌潦草肮脏。阅卷人员每人每天要批改上百份试卷。你的作文如果潦草不清，成片涂改，他们会费力地去辨别甚至猜想你的本意吗? 因此，作文干不干净不是一个战术性小事，而成了 1

一个战略性问题。

记住，把你的作文写得干净整齐就等于向阅卷人员发送一个信息———“我尊重你的辛勤劳动!”这对自己作文的得分，不是很有帮助吗?

3.减少错误。写作过程中碰到自己不会写或拿不准的词或句型，是写还是不写? 我们的看法是，尽可能不写，可以采取避开或用别的替代的方法，英语中叫做“play safe”。

四级作文万一写不太高明，那也首先要保证减少错误:尽量让你的作文做到无懈可击!

其中，当你写到prosperous，diligent，unique，booming等词的时候，若是拿不准，怎么办呢?

这时，脑子要学会急转弯，可以用busy，hard-working，special来替代。尽管busy并不能完全代表prosperous的意思，但是，车水马龙、热闹繁忙的景象，还是可以基本上表达出来的。

需要指出的是，“play safe”并不意味着我们不必下苦功去记一些必要的、十分基本的词汇，有些词的使用率很高，比如computer，environment，efficiency等，是避不开的。还有的考生上了考场，连modern，society，pollution，甚至benefit这类词都拼写不准，那就不能不给人一个基本功太差的印象。

4.开门见山。5.闪光点。

这两个术语是什么意思呢?

让我们看一看“Good Health”这篇作文。①Importance of good health ②Ways to keep fit. ③My own practices.

先看第一段“好身体的重要性”，有的考生写道:“With the rapid development of our economy，with the improvement of our living standard，with more and more people s realization of the importance of good health，now people are attaching

greater importance to their health.”“随着经济的飞速发展，随着人民生活的改善，随着大家对健康的重要性的了解，?”不要忘记，四级作文总共才要你写百十来个字，你一开头就罗罗嗦嗦说了三四十个字，还没有说到正题上，多么不得要领。切记，好的作文应该单刀直入，直截了当。不要兜圈子，绕弯子，第一句话最好就采用“topic sentence”，点明主题，重点突出———这叫“开门见山”。 因此，我们上来就应该写:

“Good health is important to everyone.”

“开门见山”之后，也就是旗帜鲜明地亮出自己的观点之后，下面我们应该用事例来支持自己的观点，这些事例，就叫做“闪光点”，如果事例很多，还可以采用“First”，“Second”，“Third”这类的排列方法。

有的考生会说，写议论文先端出论点，再给出论据，这我知道，但是，有时候我想不起来事实或例子来支持自己的结论怎么办?

这时，有两个相当重要的词汇大家应该铭记在心———“with”和“without”，尤其是后一个，议论文中几乎可以算是一把开启各式门锁的“万能钥匙”。如:Good health is very important to everyone. With it，we can study hard; We can serve the country; We can do everything as we like. Without good health，everybody knows，we will fail to do things; We can’t work efficiently; We may stay in hospital; We’ll become a burden of our family，etc.

记住，with、without不是在说废话，而是在用“正证法”和“反证法”来论述事情。我们再看第二段“保持健康的方法”。

In my opinion，there are two ways for me to keep fit. First，we must eat a balanced diet. That is to say—we must eat not only eggs，fish，meat but also some vegetables and fruit everyday. Besides eating，drinking clean water is also important. Never get addicted to drinking the so-called “soft drinks”. Second，exercising is a vital part of our daily life. 至于第三段，“我的实践”，有的考生会问:“写点什么呢?”不要忘记，第二段中提到“吃”与“锻炼”是保持健康的最佳途径，那么，第三段还写“吃”与“锻练”———我自己是怎么做的，不就行了吗? 还有人会说:“我以前做得不

好，那我就写自己的决心和保证吧!”

“From today on，I will...;I will...;”或者“I plan to do it as follows...”那叫“我的实践”吗?

顶多算是“我的希望”或“我的计划”。这样写就跑题了。可见，切题不仅是指全文，三段中的每一段也存在是否切题这样一个问题。

有的考生这样写第三段，就基本上可以说是达到要求了:

（二）有人可能会问:知道了这几项原则，上了考场我为什么还是写不出来呢?这就牵涉到英文作文的两大考试目的了。

英文作文到底要考大家什么? 主要考查你的两大方面———思路表达与英文水平。

有的考生一拿到作文题常常会抓耳挠腮，不知道该写些什么，肚里空空如也，这叫做:“没有思路”;也有的人，思路倒有，只是“英文水平”较低;当然，更有一些人“思路”没有，“英文”也不怎么样，要拿高分，其难度就可想而知了。下面，我们分别来谈谈“思路”与“英文”这两件事。

大家知道，到了考场上，作文的第一件事是———思路。有些人，没有思路，只好随心所欲，信手写去，写着写着，自己也不知道写到哪里了。这种作文，难道会条理清楚?难道会中心突出?又怎么能做到干净整洁，不乱涂乱画?因此，拿到作文后的第一件事就是要审题并列出一个提纲。这就好比家中要待客先列出一份菜单一样。菜单列好后，按单去把菜买好，这就叫“素材”，再炒好端上桌，就叫“英文表达”了。

（三）提纲列出之后，下一步就是用比较标准的英文将你想要说的意思表达出来，这就需要有较好的英文基本功底:包括单词、句子结构、语法、词组等等。下面，大家先看两篇作文，其思路还算清晰，文章比较切题，层次也很合理，但是，单就其语言文字方面，有哪些主要问题呢?

Our country population control is a wise and necessary policy. If

big city people reduce，traffic will less crowded.

第一句抄起始句，无问题。第二句，作者想说:“有车是件好事。”于是就采取了汉语的表达方式:“have a car is a good thing”，但英文就大错特错了。须知，英文的主语一般只能是四部分组成:名词（含代词）、动名词ving、动词不定式to及句子。动词have是万万不能当主语的。所以，至少应改为“having”。接下来，every person那动词own自然应该加“s”了。streets will后面动词用原形become，第三行so大写“s”，Traffic Jams occurred and accidents happened.动词完全不需要用过去式，那样，就给人以一种:“事情已过去了，现在已经不堵车，也没有交通事故了”的印象。所以，切记，议论文中使用过去式 一定要合理，不要滥用。

第二段“One way to solve this problem is to develop...”才行。一般来说，每句话只应有一个谓语动词（并列时当成一个看），所以，有了“is”，

“develop”必须消掉（消动词有三招，to v，ving，ved过去分词）。We should build...，And应小写。underground trains is...主谓语不协调或改为trains are，或改为train is，后者更好些，因为此处不是在查数，而是在讲一种情况:“地铁”这种形式，是一个好办法。

末一段可改为:

Our country s population control is a wise and necessary policy. If the number of the people in big cities is reduced，traffic will become less crowded.

综上所述，一篇英文要想写得很地道，起码应注意以下几个方面:

①主语是上述四部分之一吗?

②谓语动词是一个吗?（每句话一个，从句也算一句话）这个动词时态、语态、语气正确吗? 若是在shall，will，must，may，can等情态或助动词后，用原形了吗? 除了这个谓语之外的其它动词消掉了吗?（叫做动词的非谓语形式） ③主语与谓语一致吗?

④及物动词或介词后，使用宾语的形式了吗?（主、系表除外）

⑤定语或状语的位置放的合理吗?

⑥从句的引导词 使用恰当吗?

⑦单词有没有拼写错误?

词汇是英语学习的基础，它的重要性自不必多说。全程班的课程安排中，前面一部分就是词汇讲解。我记得每节课时长只有三十分钟左右，但是听课都得花上一个小时。听词汇课的过程中，我会记录生词、释义以及例句。我也很喜欢用【开心词场】，除了对应班级的词书外，我还背过其它词书(例如与中国传统文化相关的词汇等)。对于一些一下子记不住的单词，可以把它们记在笔记本上，常去翻看。要注意的是，光知道单词的意思而不会用是不够的。我在记单词的时候会关注一些近义词，以便写作文的时候能够活用词汇。

另外想说一下我个人的想法，我觉得要知道自己掌握的词汇量的具体数值并不容易，但是想大致确定词汇量是否足够可以看一下两点：1、做阅读的时候是否因为生词过多而无法理解文意;2、写作文的时候是否想好了句子的架构却想不起对应的词汇。 如果自觉词汇量的不够的话，一定要趁备考时间充足加油记单词。如果目前掌握的词汇量足够应考，也要常常复习避免遗忘。

在临考时(例如考前半个月)，没有必要强迫自己再记新的词汇。可以复习一下已记住的词汇，如果时间不够充裕的话也一定要复习一下核心词汇(可以参考所购买资料附赠的词汇本或者用开心词场)。条件允许的.话，还是建议在看词汇的时候朗读一下例句。

我这次能取得高分离不开听力正确率的提高，所以希望小伙伴们也重视听力的练习。

听力大致分为短对话、长对话、独白、填词。如果对各类题的掌握程度差别较大，可以单独练习比较薄弱的题型;如果掌握程度差不多，则建议一次听一套练习。不过小沐我一开始也不是一套一套来练习的，毕竟时长35分钟，一开始注意力还能集中，听着听着就容易走神。有着同样困扰的小伙伴们，如果备考时间充足，可以先把一份听力分两次听，但要保证听的时候注意力完全集中。然后保证充足的练习量(我有段时间每周去图书馆练4-5次听力)，这样的话几个月后连续听35分钟也不那么容易走神了。

做听力的时候要先看选项，但是我不建议在准备期间看过多的题目，因为这样容易把信息混淆。至于一次看多少题的选项，还需要小伙伴们通过练习把握自己的节奏。在看选项的时候可以用笔划出“重点”，所谓“重点”，就是指某两个或四个选项间有明显区别的部分。

在听长对话和独白的时候要记得作笔记，而且笔记要简洁明了。例如当对话中出现两个人的信息时，可以分别写下他们的名字(或简写)，然后把相关的信息分别列在后边。

填词比起改革前要简单许多，英语基础不错的小伙伴们可以要求自己“最多错两个”，尽量要全对。不过填词时也容易犯漏了“to”、“in”等介词的错误，这个就需要大家注意在第三遍听的时候不掉以轻心，仔细检查。

阅读理解主要分为选词填空、长阅读(信息匹配)和仔细阅读。长阅读建议先看短的选项，划出关键词，再看原文。这个我觉得只要足够仔细应该准确率会很高。不过阅读速度慢的小伙伴还是要注意练习，提高速度，以免耗时过长影响之后的答题。仔细阅读的话，各人习惯不同，有些先看全文，有些先看选项。

我基本两种都能用，不过更多的是先看全文。小伙伴们不用勉强改变自己的习惯，但是建议固定用一种方式，这样考试时也能得心应手。我觉得最难的还是选词填空(四级的时候错了一半，六级的时候大概错了两三个)，不过通过练习还是能有所进步的。

我一般是先过一遍，了解文章大意，然后把最有把握的填上。接下来根据词性、大意来填，填完后通读一遍。不过有时还是会出现有几空无论如何也不知道填哪个的情况，这种时候还是先放一放吧，不要影响了后面的答题。

对于一般题材的文字，我相信英语基础还不错的同学应该能保证翻译出来的单句的正确性。但是碰上传统文化(这次是科技类)题材的文字时，可能会觉得有些词不知道怎么翻。考场上碰到的话也就只能找意思相近的写啦，考前还是建议多准备。

开心词场里有传统文化相关词汇的词书，应该对备考有帮助。一般来说，做翻译题是有打草稿的位置和时间的。正式考试时可以先把粗翻的内容写在试题卷的空白处，然后看看有哪些词可以改成“高级词汇”，哪些句型可以变换一下(例如把短句合并成长句)。尽量让译出来的文章看起来流畅优美，这样小瑕疵也不会减太多分啦~

关于作文，我很惭愧地表示并没有太多练习，只有英语课上老师布置作业了才会去写作文。这里还是建议勤奋的同学自己练一练作文，至少考试时可以写得更顺手。然后对于和我一样懒得练作文的同学，至少还是要多看看范文，尤其是往年真题给出的范文。

总的来说呢，对于四级能顺利通过并取得良好成绩的小伙伴来说，只要不退步，过六级一定是没问题的。当然，如果想要在六级考试里取得更好的成绩，还是要多加练习。我在大一下，即备考的大半个学期中，做了开始至最新的真题卷，并且对照解析分析了自己的做题情况。之后又做了十套左右的模拟卷，外加听力练习册上的十套左右的听力练习。所以说足量的练习一定要保证。当然啦，因为我在各方面水平比较平均，所以基本是一套一套做的，如果有某方面特别弱的，可以根据自己的情况调整练习量。

老生常谈“得听力、阅读高分者，得天下!”因此，听力和阅读每周至少保证一定的时间。听力每周保证2-3次，30分钟以上的泛听和精听。

泛听的方式：只要是英语，不管是歌曲、美剧、广播、新闻还是演讲、对话、英语美文欣赏，都可以让它们在你的耳边响起，然后至少要看着听力原文，边听边看1次。

精听就是去听写，完成一个任务。1分钟的材料，也能用30分钟去把每个字都听懂，写下来。精听建议四级选择教育类、故事类和文化类;六级选择文化类、商务职场类和科普类等近年来常考的类型去练。

阅读要能够保证每天看1篇英语文章，消灭中间的生单词和长难句!阅读体裁选择议论文、说明文;题材选择教育校园与大家息息相关的文章;经济类和社会类，选择一些英美热点和有争议的话题。

现阶段为备考早期，对于有大量时间、精力投入的同学，不宜过早做听力和阅读真题。5月整整一个月的时间，再做也不迟。否则后期疲软，考前反而没有真题可做。

写作和翻译：对于大多数英语菜鸟来说这是得分和提分最好和最快的一部分，写作大家可以多记忆几个万能模板。应付四级应该SO EASY了。而翻译我当初是复习全国翻译资格水平考试，所以对我没多大难度。

1.分析优秀范文，学习写作方法与技巧。对于答案给出的标准范文要学会分析其亮点与得分点。一方面，分析范文的文章结构，即范文的开头、结尾以及中间的论点都写了什么、都是如何围绕主题进行展开的;另一方面，分析范文中的亮点词汇、短语、句式，积累在自己的笔记本上，如范文中用到的表达观点的句式、恰当的短语等，都可以借鉴并应用到自己的写作当中。

2.广泛积累短语、句式。一方面，要积累结构性的短语和句式。如开头句、观点句、过渡句，表达转折、顺承、因果关系的词汇、短语等，从而使文章更加连贯，结构更加清晰;另一方面，要积累有亮点的短语、句式。如各种从句(定语从句、状语从句等)、强调句、倒装句等比较复杂、给文章加分的句子，以及各种含义准确的词汇、短语，如表达“考虑到...”可以用“in view of”“take ...into consideration”等。

3.备考时多练习。对于写作基础比较薄弱的同学，可以在备考过程中多练习写作增强临场发挥的能力。练习前期要注意写作的质量，在保证结构完整的同时紧扣题目，不能跑题，可以多思考如何运用一些逻辑词、事例去论证自己的论点;在有了一定质量的基础上，练习后期可以严格控制时间，提升自己的思考和写作速度，同时练习美观的字迹，减少涂抹。

1.日常多听四级听力材料。利用自己的碎片时间听四级听力，可以使自己熟悉听力录音的语速、语调。从而使自己在做题的过程中能更快地适应听力的节奏，增强自己听四级材料的能力。

2.错题要反复听。对于自己做题时的错题或没听出的题，要对照着听力材料反复听录音，找到自己做错或没听到的原因，在之后的练习中尽量避免出现同类问题。

3.利用播放录音前的时间间隔看题。听力在做题之前一定要先看题，因此，可以利用播放directions的时间或两道大题之间的时间间隔看题。通过看题目中的选项推测题目的内容，如人物、时间、地点、因果等。在听录音的过程中重点关注相关的内容，可以帮助自己快速选择正确的选项。

4.学会快速笔记。在听录音材料时，可以用自己习惯的方式对材料里的关键内容进行快速笔记，如记录时间、数字、地点等。这样在做题选择选项时可以进行参考，从而帮助自己进行选择。

1.背单词。对于阅读基础比较薄弱的同学，自己需要额外背四级单词。如果出现了阅读看不懂、做不完的情况，说明词汇量比较小，还不足以完成四级的阅读。因此，这部分同学需要通过提升词汇量来增强阅读能力。背单词可以用反复看、反复记忆的方法，因为阅读的单词不需要拼写，因此不一定每天要拿出几个小时去背，可以利用碎片时间反复翻看单词，多看几次就会形成印象。

2.选词填空。可以先看15个选项，标明词性和词义，之后通读全文了解大概内容，然后细读每一句，根据空处的前后文选择恰当的单词。选完之后可以再一次通读短文，看自己选择的词汇是否使全文连贯并通顺。

3.长篇匹配。首先可以先看题目，勾画题目中的重点信息，如时间、因果、人物等。之后快速阅读文章，读完每一段之后去看题目，与题目进行对应，有匹配的题目可以直接标注段落字母。在通读完整篇文章后如果还有剩余的题目，可以重点查看没有匹配到的段落。

4.短篇阅读。同样先看短文之后的题目，勾画重点信息，看一下选项大概了解选项的内容。之后阅读文章，在读文章的过程中如果遇到与题目对应的内容可以重点勾画或标记，方便在做题时定位相关的段落，提高做题速度。

1.掌握直译与意译的翻译方法。对于含义明确、可以直接翻译的内容则直接对应翻译;如果有含义不明确或不知道如何翻译的内容，可以采取意译的方法，即解释性地翻译。通过解释性地翻译题目中某个词句，从而表达对等的含义。

2.积累专用名词和固定表达。对于专用名词，如长城、高铁、共享单车、移动支付等，可以广泛积累在笔记本上，以防练习或考试遇到时出现写不出来的情况。同样要积累一些固定的词句表达，提升自己翻译的水平，如“推动经济增长”是“promote/boost economic growth”。通过积累固定的搭配与表达，可以扎实自己的英语基础，帮助自己在翻译时信手拈来。

3.用英语思维组织语言。英语中常见从句、倒装等表达方式，因此在汉译英的过程中，可以划分汉语原文的意群，通过一个英语复合句，即主句+从句的方式来表达。或者使用倒装的句式，将几个汉语小短句组合成一个英语大长句，使译文更符合英语的表达习惯。

英语四级作文 篇8

听力部分占整套试题的35%，除听力篇章外每个题都是7.1分。

1、短篇新闻 7% 共7小题，每小题7.1分。

2 、长对话 8% 8个题目 每小题7.1分。

3、听力篇章 20% 共10个小题，每小题14.2分。

时间：25分钟。在这部分你要达到149分为及格，做对14个左右即可。

阅读部分占整套试题的35%，选词填空每题3.55分，其余每题都是7.1分。

3、仔细阅读 20% 10个题 共2篇，一篇5个题，每小题14.2分。

时间：40分钟 在这部分你要达到149分为及格，做对18个左右即可。

通过大学英语四六级有什么用？

1）对于大多数的职位，英语已非专业技能，而是必备的职业素质，自然被企业普遍地采用为招聘考察项目。虽然英语四级被认为的及格线是425分，但对于招聘企业来说，分数越高自然更受青睐。

一般来说，如果是名企的网申系统，会给四六级成绩设置分数段，常见的以550分为界限。如果是想在英语方面表现不输别人，其实你追求的不仅仅是通过而已，而是高分！

2）就工作本身的要求来看，企业中有些岗位要求你英语运用熟练，有些岗位几乎从来不会涉及英语的应用，但你进入这些企业后，从事各种岗位都有可能，学计算机的有可能会去做生产管理，学会计的有可能会去做市场，多种可能的岗位中总有对英语要求比较高的。这是你职业发展的一个重要优势点。

这里讲的好像不是英语四六级，而是英语的重要性。但是对于大部分人来说，英语四六级是一个基础，如果基础薄弱，后面更高的追求，如中高级口译，商务英语，雅思托福等其实会增加很大的难度。建议是四六级就认真准备，不要总是认为以后有的是机会。

3）就英语四级本身所含意义来看，英语是基本的职业素质与能力已被普遍认同，而目前国家仍有英语四级与学位挂钩的政策，那么英语四级没过就会意味着你没正常地完成大学四年的学业。工作岗位的人的职责是认真工作，学生的职责是好好学习，英语四级没过，招聘者就会想这人是个不替自己职业前途考虑的人，是个不负责、散漫、懒惰、缺乏进取心的人。

如果说高阶学习看天赋，基础学习绝对是见态度的。这也是为什么很多明明用不到英语的公司仍然要求你通过英语四六级的原因。

4）以上3点讲的是英语四六级对未来求职的影响，对于考研和出国的同学，其实作用更加明显。考研和出国都基本都会涉及对英语的考察，保持对英语不间断的学习最后在准备这两件事时会轻松很多，能够把更多精力放在自己的薄弱项目上。

一般大学的非英语相关专业，其实用到英语很少，进入大学之后我们对英语的上心程度也渐渐弱了下来（常听见一种说法，80%的人高考完直接去考英语四级肯定没问题，大学读了一年反而考不出）。

有时候英语四六级考试除了为你将来的打算作准备，也是对“英语”这个语言工具的回顾和提升，督促自己学习英语（对于部分需要这个能力的同学，不鼓吹所有人都要勤奋刻苦必学英语）。
