He had already passed sixty of the stages leading to it, and he had brought from his journey nothing but errors and remorse. Now his health was poor, his mind vacant, his heart sorrowful, and his old age short of comforts.

And his youth did return,for all this was only a dream, which he had on New Year's night. He was still young though his faults were real; he had not yet entered the deep, dark cave, and he was still free to walk on the road which leads to the peaceful and sunny land.

青春，常常被赋予希望、阳光、激情、奋进、浪漫、诗意等内涵，正因此，她成为无数诗人、文学家反复吟诵的旋律。青春是人生旅程中最美丽的风景，也是多梦的季节。做梦是青春最大的权利，哪怕这梦有时不知“天高地厚”，有时幼稚可笑，但因是青春之梦，谁也不会太计较。只有让青春的枝头挂满梦想的花朵，才有人生金秋的收成。

然而近些年来，青春话题似乎变得有点沉重。一些青年人的脸上常写满焦虑、无奈、浮躁、失意。在不少人心中，梦想已然凋零，激情不再燃烧，诗意难觅踪迹。风华正茂的年纪，内心却已落英缤纷。

按说，今天的青年人，生活远没有父辈们那么奔波、拮据、窘迫。这一代人的成长，正好伴随着中国发展最快、最好的年月，算是幸运的一代。他们有理由也有能力，比上一辈人生活得更从容、更有激情，让人生驰骋于更广阔的天地。但现实情况却并非如此，许多青年感觉生活得疲惫、憋屈，缺少阳光、色彩。

究其原因，当下的青年人承受了与他们的年纪不相称的现实压力。他们的青春记忆里挤满了现实的纠结：升学、就业、成家、工作升迁、买车、买房，凡此种种，层层加码，把年轻人结结实实地困在生活的重轭里。在这种情况下，他们难有激情去放飞青春梦想，也鲜有闲情逸致去仰望天空。

面对激烈的竞争压力，青年人比的不是谁有理想、谁有激情，而是比谁更“实际”，更“唯物”、更“老成”。结果，“现实主义”打败了“理想主义”，“精致的利己主义”蚕食了青年登高望远的能力。

不少青年纠结在狭小的利益算盘中，无视共同体的责任和青年人的使命，让人生的理想越飞越低，低到只在自己的城堡里贴地而行。长此以往，不仅青年的路会越走越窄，而且对社会和国家发展不利，反过来又会影响青年的未来。

俗话说：“大河有水小河满，大河无水小河干。”只有把人生理想融入国家和民族的事业中，才能最终成就一番事业。青年人只有把目光从个人的小天地中挣脱出来，将个人理想与家国情怀结合起来，让个人理想与中国梦对接起来，才有真正出彩的人生。因为，“只有进行了激情奋斗的青春，只有进行了顽强拼搏的青春，只有为人民作出了奉献的青春，才会留下充实、温暖、持久、无悔的青春回忆”。

大部份的人成家立业，日复一日然后老死，他们停止成长，停止锻炼自己，停止试图超越自己，然后还有人很爱抱怨却不尝试改变现况，多数人都不想为自己的梦想努力。

为什么?

good afternoon everybody! it's my honor to speak here and i am very glad to share my topic with all of you. today i'd like to talk about “my dream”.

i do not just have one dream, in fact, i have three. they are: a healthy life, a happy family and to travel my great country.

i have always admired the long healthy life my grandparents have. they are older than 80 years of age and they are still alive and kicking! how do they do that!

my grandparents plant vegetables and grow rice themselves; even in their old age they still make food for themselves! i guess that is why they can remain healthy. more importantly they remain humble and never ask for too much from life.

perhaps that makes them ***mon, but they live a happy life. my grandmother once told me this:” i do not want to live long, only long enough for some grand children to be running around in my house”.

i want to live a long, healthy and happy life just as they have.

since my graduation from primary school, until now, every time on my birthday i make the same wish. i wish my parents will not fight anymore. i am not ***plaining that they gave me a bad childhood, they just fight so much!

i am unhappy but that does not mean they do not love me. they do! they love me with all their heart.

i love my parents also; i want them to live a happy life as well.

i want to travel this great country of ours. i want to see the beauty of our country. i want to see the miracles that made this country great!

i want to go from the east to west, from the north all the way down to the south! i have a dream, that one day i can travel and see my country with my family and friends! if that is not possible, seeing my country on my own is good enough also.

if i can fulfill all three of my dreams in life, then god can take me away. i would be happy, and l would have lived a full and prosperous life.

remember to turn off the lights and water taps unless we use them. secondly, we had better take the subways or bus to work, so as to reduce the emissions of carbon dioxide. thirdly, we should use cloth bags for shopping instead of plastic bags, and use recyclable bowls and chopsticks instead of disposable ones, for it can not only save resources, but also reduce pollution.
